Five Cheese Ravioli with Tomato and Basil

Recipe Description:

Enjoy a fast & easy marinara sauce recipe in a few simple steps. Liven up your traditional Italian recipe of Five Cheese Ravioli with Heirloom Marinara Sauce by adding a few additional ingredients and wow your family in minutes.


¼ cup
olive oil
yellow onion, large diced
6 cloves
garlic, thinly sliced
1 tsp
red chili pepper flakes
1 bunch
fresh basil, leaves torn
1 pint
cherry tomatoes, whole
1 cup
parmesan cheese, shaved or grated
kosher salt and black pepper to season

Recipe Instructions:

Add in the olive oil, onion, garlic, chili pepper flakes and half the basil leaves into a large saucepan.
Sauté on med-high heat for 5 minutes stirring frequently until onions are soft and translucent.
Add in the cherry tomatoes and cook until they start to burst, 1-2 minutes.
Add in the marinara sauce, bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Hold warm.
Cook the Five Cheese Ravioli following the cooking instructions on package and drain well. Serve with sauce, topped with some basil and enjoy.

1. Add pasta to 4 quarts of gently boiling water. Stir immediately.

2. Cook for 3 minutes (until internal temp reaches 165º F). If frozen, cook for 4 minutes.

3. Scoop pasta out of water and strain to avoid breaking. Coat with your favorite sauce and serve.
